Production Logo: Name

After deciding that our production logo would be the image of a cigarette, we then decided to think of names for our production company. We decided to think of the company's name after the logo's idea process as we wanted to two to link. Much like the independent production company that produced the famous Saw Movies: Twisted Pictures, whose production logo is below.
Both the name and the logo mirror one another in connotations and imagery and this is what I wanted to achieve with Ella and I's production logo. We looked into popular cigarette brands to see if we could have a play on words company name that is linked with an already existing cigarette brand. We chose 'Lucky Strike' the popular American cigarette brand to use for our company's name. We eventually chose to call the company 'Three Strikes' because not only does it link in well with the popular American brand but it also connotes to the striking of matches which subsequently links with fire and smoking.

We chose a font from http://www.dafont.com/. We wanted a bold yet commercial appearing font so that it would not only be noticeable and eye-catching, but also fit the theme of a professional appearing cigarette brand. We chose the font named 'Cows and Aliens' and downloaded it in order to apply it to our production logo.
